Intel® Fortran Compiler 17.0 Developer Guide and Reference

Creating an Xcode* Project

The following topic applies to Xcode*.

To create a new Xcode* project:

  1. Launch the Xcode* application.

  2. Select File > New > Project...

The Choose a template for your new project window opens.

  3. In the left pane, select OS X > Application.

  4. Select a template, for example, Command Line Tool, and click Next.

  5. Name your project, for example, Hello World, enter a string for Organization Name and Organization Identifier, and select the C or C++ language. You will be able to change it to Fortran later. Click Next.

  6. Specify a directory for your project, and optionally select Create local git repository for this project to place your project under version control.

  7. Click Create.

Xcode* creates the named project directory, with an .xcodeproj extension. Your new project directory contains a main.cpp source file, as well as other project files. You can delete main.cpp.

Each Xcode* project has its own Project Editor window that displays project source files, targets, and executables.
