Intel® Fortran Compiler 17.0 Developer Guide and Reference
The IMSL* libraries, a collection of nearly 1,000 mathematical and statistical functions easily accessible from the visual and command line development environments, are an optionally installed component provided with certain editions of the Intel® Fortran product. The IMSL libraries are provided in both static library and dynamic-link library (DLL) forms.
Install the compiler first and then install the IMSL libraries. For more information, see the install.htm file.
You can view the IMSL readme file and online help using the IMSL Fortran Library 6.0 program folder. The online documentation included with the IMSL Libraries includes text files and PDF files:
Text files:
QuickStart - Brief instructions for setting up the command-line build environment
Read me - Full instructions for using the IMSL libraries from the command-line environment, plus reference information
Release notes - Information about changes from previous versions of the IMSL libraries
Readme (specific for your architecture) for IMSL Fortran Library - A series of Readme files with information on use of the IMSL libraries on a specific architecture
PDF documentation
The IMSL Adobe Acrobat* PDF documentation lets you quickly find details on the purpose and use of any IMSL Library routine. You can access the following topics through the IMSL Fortran Library User's Guide:
IMSL Math Library
IMSL Math Library Special Functions
IMSL Stat Library
Click on any of the libraries to see a submenu of items grouped by subject. Within each category (for example, Linear Systems, Eigen system Analysis, and so on), click on a routine for more information.
The IMSL libraries have coding conventions regarding use of modules for interface declarations. For detailed information, read the Introduction section of the IMSL Fortran Library User's Guides.
